Dr. Jayvardhan V. Balkhande (M.Sc., Ph.D.) is currently working as an assistant professor, Department of Zoology, Digambarrao Bindu Arts, Commerce & Science College, Bhokar Dist. Nanded (MS). He bagged the Third Merit Rank at Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded, in M.Sc. Zoology (2009). He possesses more than 14 years of research experience in the fields of Fishery science, Fresh Water Cage culture, Limnology, Ornithology, and Environmental Biology. Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship from the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, has been awarded to him (2009–2014). He has published 44 research papers in reputed journals at the national and international levels. He has published three books and three book chapters. His Google Scholar citation is 151, with an h-index of 6 and an i-10 index of 2. He has completed a minor research project on “Preparation of organic fertilizer from fish waste,” funded by S. R. T. M. University, Nanded. So far He has organized 02 international and four National Conferences, presented 20 papers at various Conferences, seminars, etc, and participated in more than 75 Conferences, Seminars, workshops, etc. He has been awarded state-level late. Dr. G.N. Wankhed Memmorial Bird Research Award 2022 by Maharashtra Pakshimitra. He serves as an editorial member and reviewer of several peer-reviewed journals. He is a Life Member of Maharashtra Pakshimitra, a Life Member of the Asian Biological Research Foundation, and the International Journal of Life Sciences.

He has edited the book “Interdisciplinary Research in Life Sciences: A Path Towards Sustainability – Volume I,” published by Advent Publishing.
